David, a Desert Storm veteran grappling with persistent health challenges, deeply values any financial support directed towards his well-being. He hopes to be able to earn enough money to hire a caregiver and pay for meds and things that the VA doesn't cover.
Dave also wrote a book that is available on Amazon. Search for Looking Back; Growing Up in Middle-America in the 20th Century. It's a book he co-wrote with his father, Ron Dockery, who passed away in 2011. The book takes a look at life in the small town they both grew up in; Barrington, IL.

Before he was forced to retire due to medical issues Dave Dockery was a graphic artist who worked at several interesting companies. He cut his teeth at the Triangle Shopping Guide in Leesburg, FL, then he was a copy editor and graphic designer at The Daily Sun in The Villages active retirement community in Leesburg, FL. He then had his own publication called The Town Shopper in Deland, FL for about a year but it was unsuccessful. But that didn't stop Mr. Dockery from continuing to work from home designing many logos, websites, and billboards in Astor, FL. He then was hired as the Art Director for On Top of the World Communities' in Ocala, FL. After that he moved with his family back to Illinois. He worked as a graphic artist at the North Suburban Recreational Association near Chicago. Then he tried to work from home before having to retire. He hopes to continue painting watercolors, acrylics and illustrating with pencil, charcoal, pastels, chalk and more. He will be illustrating a children's book, writing a movie script and many such projects so come back often.
